Ok. I’m glad your reaction was on par with mine.

Bonus points for honesty, though.

“Condition good”. For what, a car that has spent most of its life at the bottom of Casco Bay?

My wife asked “why are they posting pictures of that?” My only plausible response was “I think they’re being honest...”
But they’re also advocating someone buy this clapped out rusty POS and put it on the same roads I drive as an “antique”. Donate it to the kidney foundation and take the tax write off ffs.

Still, a Tercel is Maine that still exits... incredible!

My rust belt 1987 SR5 only made it to 1997 before the entire front left wheel, hub, axle, upper and lower suspension... thingies, and a whole lot of rust parted company with the rest of the vehicle as I pulled a hard left into my driveway. It was an unceremonious end.

I don't know how things work in Maine, but if you registered a car like that as an antique in New Jersey, you'd be very, very boned if you got pulled over.

If not at the bottom, at least near. I’m a few miles inland and I was still shrouded in salt fog the last few mornings. It’s worse closer to the water.

I don’t know that it's a problem. I drove my fair share of death traps, and was never once hassled by the cops or the inspection station.
